Ernie created the Boston Militia women's football team in 2007 with the members of former Boston women's teams the Boston Rampage and Massachusetts Mutiny. Through hard work and perseverance the Boston Militia have in four short years become the 2010 world champions of the Independent Women's Football League and 2011 world champions of the Women's Football Alliance — an unprecedented feat in the sport of women's football.
