Danielle Resha: backup running back and kicker for the Boston Militia women's football team.

Danielle Resha was on a quest to find another sport to play after her four-year soccer career ended at Wakefield High this past year. What she stumbled upon was a sport primarily thought of as being just for men, and in the process, she did something that no other female has done in one of the oldest semi-pro men's football leagues in the country.

The 18-year-old is a backup running back and second-string kicker for the Boston Militia, a women's professional football team based out of Somerville that won the Independent Women's Football League championship in 2010 and is going for the Women's Football Alliance title on July 30 against the San Diego Surge in Dallas, Texas.
