The Boston Militia women's football team will look to cement itself as one of the most dominant teams in the world of women's professional football when it takes on the San Diego Surge in the 2011 Woman's Football Alliance Championship game on July 30 (7 p.m.) at Pennington Field in Dallas.
A win would mark the second straight title for the Militia. The Somerville- based team won the Independent Women’s Football League Championship last season. "We want to have a power in Boston," said Militia head coach Derrick Beasley. "We want everyone to know that we are a powerhouse team."
