Under a blistering Sun and with game time temperatures hovering in the mid nineties, the women's football teams, Boston Militia and Indy Crash, meet for the first time at the Dilboy Stadium with a home attendance of nearly 900 people.

Women's Football Game 1st Quarter

The Militia won the coin toss and marched 80 yards in three plays with Amy Saur scoring on a 50 pass from Allison Cahill and some nifty running by Saur to score the initial touchdown of the game. The extra point attempt by Ashley Snyder was blocked. With only 1 minute and 35 seconds off the clock the Militia led the Indianapolis team by a score of 6-0.

The Militia stopped the Crash in its initial offensive possession and forced the Indy team to punt.

The Militia offense scored again on another pass from Cahill to Chante Bonds, who outran the defense and scored on a 50 yard pass and run play. The snap for the extra point was high and with 9:40 on the clock, the Militia’s lead was 12-0.

Once again, the Boston team stopped the Crash and forced another punt. They took over possession on the Militia 42 yard line.

The Militia offensive line provided some outstanding blocking as the ground game drove the ball 58 yards into the Indy end zone as Stacey Tiamfook crossed the goal line on a 13 yard run. Tiamfook completed the march by scoring the 2 point conversion. With 5:15 in the first quarter, the Militia led by 20-0.

Women's Football Game 2nd Quarter

The Crash began to move the ball on the Militia before turning the ball over on downs.

The Militia took over the ball at the 33 yard line and ran two plays ending the first quarter with a 12 gain for a first down and a 20-0 lead.

The Militia opened the second quarter with a rare fumble. The Crash recovered the ball only to be stopped in 3 plays and forced to punt.

The Militia then scored at the 11:01 mark of the quarter on a one yard run by Zelee. The two point conversion attempt was no good, and the Militia led by a score of 26-0.

The Crash fumbled on the next possession and the ball was recovered by Jessica Cabrera at the 32 yard line of the Indy team. The Militia went in to score on pass from Cahill to Adrienne Smith. With the extra point kick good by Snyder, the Boston Militia held a 33-0 lead with 7:55 to go in the first half.

The Crash showed great composure and quickly scored on the Militia defense at 7:29. The two point conversions failed and the Militia held a 33-6 lead.

The Militia once again fumbled the ball that was recovered by the Crash. The defense stepped on the field and stopped the Crash hopes in 8 plays and allowed the Boston offense back on the field. The Militia offense took their time and marched down the field in 12 plays with 7 runs and 5 passes. The Militia capped the drive with a Dorothy Donaldson blast for a touchdown. The extra point attempt was no good and the Militia lead was now 39-6 with 29 seconds to go in the half.

Women's Football Game 3rd Quarter

The third quarter saw the Militia put together some fine defensive stops and take over possession on a fumbled Indy snap that was recovered by Molly Goodwin. The Militia proceeded to run the ball and had a field goal attempt blocked by the Crash.

The Crash put together a nice drive only to be stopped on the 8th play from scrimmage on a fine tackle by Samantha Rush, who forced a fumble that was recovered by Bonds and the Militia ended the 3rd quarter with the Boston Militia in the lead by 39-6.

Women's Football Game 4th Quarter

Molly Goodwin intercepted an Indy pass on the 7th play of the 4th quarter and flipped the ball to Mia Brickhouse, who gained 25 yards on the play. This led to 7 yard run by Zelee for a touchdown and a PAT from Snyder for a Militia 46-6 lead. With 10:04 in the game.

As Boston substituted freely in the fourth quarter, Indy Crash offense put together two good drives and scored touchdowns with 7:50 and 5:33 to go in the game and a final score of 46-18.
