Led by a record setting performance with a 91-yard touchdown scamper by Stacey Tiamfook, the women's football team, Boston Militia, overpowered a much improved North Eastern Nitro by a score of 42-0 in a ground game that recorded 396 yards.

Women's Football Game 1st Quarter

The Militia won the coin toss but shocked itself and fumbled the opening kickoff. They held the Nitro to a 3-yard gain and forced the Nitro to punt. On the ensuing series, The Militia proceeded to march down field as Allison Cahill hit Kathryn Tylander for 9-yard gain. A strong running performance by Dorothy Donaldson and Tiamfook with gains of 32 and 27 yards, respectively, put the Militia on the Nitro 17-yard line. Cahill then hit Adrienne Smith on a 17-yard pass and the first score of the game. Danielle Resha converted her first extra point giving the Militia a 7-0 lead with 10:27 in the first quarter.

On the next defense series, Vicky Eddy sacked the Nitro QB for a 20-yard loss and Jennifer Olivieri intercepted a pass, and returned it to the Nitro 8-yard line. Cahill then hit Amy Saur on a 3-yard pass for the second Militia TD of the day. Resha's kick made it 14-0 with 8:41 in the quarter.

Women's Football Game 2nd Quarter

On the first series of the second quarter, the Militia ran twice for no gain. On third down, Cahill took the next snap, rolled left to pass, and, seeing all the receivers covered, tucked the ball in, and ran for a 17-yard touchdown at the 13:03 mark of the quarter.

On the next offensive set, the Militia stopped the Nitro and forced a punt. The Militia took over the ball at its own 9-yard line. Tiamfook then took a handoff from Cahill and had some excellent line blocking. She powered her way to a 91-yard Militia touchdown run. Resha's kick was good and the Militia led by a score of 28-0 with 1:41 to go in the second quarter.

The remainder of the quarter had some strong defensive plays by Eddy, Patty Harper, Alicia Harris and Olivieri, Jessica Penta to stop the Nitro. Then the Militia offense marched down the field with a ground game gaining 40 yards only to be stopped by a interception at the Nitro 10-yard line that closed the half.

Women's Football Game 3rd Quarter

The third quarter opened with the Militia kickoff to the Nitro and the Militia "D" taking the field. The next three plays saw outstanding individual tackles by Eddy, Raxan English and Molly Goodwin for a 3 and out for the Nitro.

The Militia offense then entered the field and behind some very good offensive line blocking. They proceeded to march downfield and scored on a 2-yard plunge by Dorothy Donaldson. Another extra point kick by Resha game The Militia a 35-0 score with 7:20 left in the quarter.

Women's Football Game 4th Quarter

In the next defensive series, Nikita Payne, Jen Powell, and Penta once again provided the stopping power for the Militia. They took over the ball at the Nitro 28-yard line. In three plays (a 5-yard pass from Cahill to Weinberg, an 8-yard run by Whitney Zelee, and a 4-yard scamper by Tiamfook) the Militia scored the final touchdown of the day and a final score of 42-0 with 9:01 left in the 4th quarter.
